Project Recovery is a community-based, grass-roots effort aimed at helping local employers solve one of their toughest issues – where to find qualified workers when unemployment is low.
Project Recovery is targeting three segments of the job-seeker population to remove barriers from their entry into the workplace. These three segments are substance abusers, those who lack the basic workplace skills to be successful and those who need basic computer skills.
Currently, the initiative is working with mostly Grayson County employers and partners, but will be expanding the project to Cooke and Fannin Counties as soon as possible, and is working with the Southern Oklahoma Workforce Board to include the 10 Oklahoma counties they serve as well.
